sydneybunny: To the ask about aural dictation, does your school use MacGamut? If they don't, I would recommend purchasing it. It unfortunately can be a little pricey (upwards of 60 dollars) but well worth it, and you can practice melodic, harmonic, rhythmic dictation. Also, practicing dictating songs you know/like is a good way too, and training yourself to hear "DO" and pick out the tonic of any melody.
